As a medical emergency technician or paramedic your job will require you to do a lot. You’ll be the first one on the scene and this is where your training comes into play. To perform your job above expectations you will need to know how to apply the knowledge and skills you learned during your training program. However, many EMT’s will tell you that your job performance does NOT only rely on your skillset but your mindset too. For example, a high-quality pair of pants are essential for EMT’s because they not only represent what you do but are vital in making sure you do your job right. The pockets are used for instruments that can save lives, and the material allows you to move freely so you can lift, turn and run to someone who is in need.
