So for my exams i must get atleast a 86% for Trauma. What are some tips to help with this other than when in doubt play it as shocky, all bleeding stops eventually, and the bsi ss. My quizzes ive been getting a average of 86% while my exams havent been pasted 70%.
Emt b class
Control massive hemorrhage first. Hypotension is a late sign of shock, tachycardia is an earlier sign. I don’t know what they are teaching regarding lack of radial pulse, but loss probably means they are hypotensive, the presence of one doesn’t mean much. Penetrating trauma, c spine is not a major concern.
The NREMT trauma assessment steps that they give you, what is it like 26 steps? I memorized them by writing them down 1-26. Didn’t stop until I got it. Then everyday I would write them out 1-26 until it was second nature.
Once you have the assessment down, then work on your interventions/contraindications. From there it’ll all be much easier.
