Hi,

I just found out that I failed my first attempt at the CNA state examination. Can someone tell me what the waiting period is until I can write the exam again? Do I need to go through the classes again?

Hi Cougarnurse

From my knowledge you are able to write the Texas CNA certification examination twice. I went on the Texas CNA official website and it seems as though the only time you have to go through the entire classroom training is if you DON'T pass the exam the second time around. I hope this helps and good luck when you write it the second time. Here's something to keep in mind so you have a better shot at passing the second time..

Don't rush when writing it because the cost of failing is much higher if you fail second time around. You will have to pay for training and sit through for 6-8 weeks until you have completed the training. Try and enroll in a certified nursing assistant review course so you can study the material again. This will increase your chance of passing the second time around.
